Patrick Roy should be suspended for more than the 5 games or whatever he was suspended.
The kid goalie should be barred from competition for a good long while and I wouldn't mind him being charged with some sort of minor assault for the situation. The other goalie was not looking to fight at all. In fact, once he hit the ice, he curled up while Roy continued to beat on him. Any talk of "hockey code" bullshit is stupid and not applicable in this situation. Roy (at the direction of his father) avoided the refs and skated the length of the ice to attack the goalie under no provocation. He continued to beat the kid once he was on the ground. That is by far unacceptable and considering the young impressionable kids that the older Roy is coaching...that is a terrible example to be put forth. I know the next time these teams play that some sort of hockey justice will be handed out and it should all be put behind everybody. But that wasn't a hockey fight. That was a savage attack on somebody that wasn't looking to get involved.
