I hope he doesn't put up a review tomorrow. SS2, imo, will take some time to get through. I'm not sure if it covers a myriad of games (like it's predecessor) but I'm really looking forward to Daniel N's analysis.

I only glanced - and I truly mean glanced... but it looks like Daniel wrote the Triple Draw Lowball chapter.... NOT NLHE, if that's what you were hoping for.

Again - I don't have the book sitting next to me right now and I only looked at it for 30 seconds when I did.

See... Triple Draw Lowball?

What the fuck is that? Negreanu is a killer NLHE player, he was "misused." TDL is along the lines of Razz and those "oddity" games. Online casinos don't offer them, and they aren't even offered in Atlantic City.

Doyle Brunson drops the ball again. If he was the project manager of SS2, then Doyle...

Negreanu is one of the best triple draw lowball players in the 'big game' so its only fitting he writes that part. Also Ultimate Bet offers triple draw lowball.

I meant give us info as to what you think so far. Not today or tomorrow, when you get a chance. Book review=poor choice of words on my part. Is there a NLHE tourney section in that book? Negreanu should've written a section on that, because Triple Draw lowball sucks. heh. Maybe it sucks because I suck at Triple Draw lowball. Nahhhh.

Has anyone read Dan Harrington's book? I've heard many positives so far about that book.

I've been hearing the same things - that is simply incredible - and I'm expecting it any day now from Overstock.com. I think w/ shipping it was under $21.

Interesting... I had no desire to read that book, but I guess I should. Let us know what you think of it when you get it Aeq. Looks like the same prize at Amazon, btw:

Anyhoo... I read the first 50ish pages of SS2 last night. It's all the foreward and intro stuff so far, but so far, it's great. I also glanced at the layout of the rest of the book... the table of contents alone is making me drool. It's supposed to be more of s supplement/compliment to Super System, as opposed to a replacement. I think this book is going to be a must read (but maybe not the best starting point for a brand new player).

I've decided to change the bounty on my head to a delivered copy of SS2 for tomorrow night's tourney.

Nice, I'll have one more reason to bust you out then...I was origonally going to plunk down $50 to buy SS2 and Dan Harrington's book, but instead I'm going to put $50 into my Stars account so that I can play in the tourney. Good luck everyone.

You might want to repost this in a new thread in the Looking For a Backer section. It doesn't really relate to this thread.

Default Daniel N. / Lowball in SuperSystem 2

From what I have heard/ read about Daniel N., he seems to be able to play most any game. I would like to read a chapter from him on all of them, since I think he has a unique style, but if he wrote them all it would probably be Daniel N.'s Super System, right?

I think triple draw is an interesting game (UB) but have no idea (and from what I have seen, it is not likely that many others do either) how it is SUPPOSED to be played. I think back to playing holdem before I read some books and learned how to play it, and I just have to laugh. I look forward to reading it and having a good laugh about how poorly I play this game with no instruction as well .

Welcome back Blibbity... Where ya been? You playing in our tourney tomorrow night? PM me for the password if you're interested.

And yeah, I would love to read an entire book by Daniel. I'm sure it's just a matter of time until he writes one.

Or maybe he is just too smart to write a book, giving away all his secrets on him best money-making games??? His whole thing is that noone ever knows what he has.

I have been taking a hiatus from poker for a while now. I realized all of the things I had been neglecting and had a few weeks worth of catchup to do (bills, work, etc, etc,...). Now I have to learn everything all over.....straight beats a flush, right?

New year's resolutions SUCK! About time to start breaking them.

I might be able to make the tourney tomm. Ill send you a PM in a bit, in case I can.
