Default worst thing to happen to poker

I belive poker on tv has ruined the game. to the point that I rarely play live games. ya the pro's say its good but not because there winning more because they are getting to the finnal tables less often but because they get sponsership. I mean do you honestly believe they are pay those buy ins no there sponsers are. and now you have idiots playing thinking there the next pro playing the crap hands and no foldem ya in the long run we that know what we are doing will come out ahead but the swings have gotten to be way to drastic. I now see people play $30-$60 like it's $2-$4. if you played right you should play the same no matter what the limit but they think of it not as the limit but oh it's only $2 well they should think of it as $2000 maybe then they'd think twice about a raise

Let's see.....

Idiots playing like the pros play "on tv."

People playing 30/60, like it's 2/4.

Ummm, yeah.

I'm with Coach TP on this one.

Poker on Tv has brought a lot of new fish into the game, with these fish comes free money if u play right, if you are a good player and can stick to ur game u should have no problem with the chance to win a few more bucks, but then again if u are a tourney player yes it is gonna be harder to get to the final table but again if u outlast the fish u will win more money because of it

I'm not really sure that poker on TV is supposed to be used as a teaching tool . It's just to get the game exposed and draw people into the game. TV has brought many new faces to the game and has alot to do with the explosion of the game. Without TV poker would not be as big as it is today.

most of the people that play live games, say that they saw pros making money with it on tv so thats what they are trying to do. so i have to go with almost everyone and say poker on tv is a great thing. i also started playing poker because of all the attention it was getting on tv.
