Default Interest List for Another League?

Throwing this out there to see who would be interested...

If we were to start up another league that played Monday Nights at 9:35 PM for 10 weeks (probably starting in late April or early May) and was Hold'Em only, who would definitely play?

Each event would have a $5 buy in and the league entry fee would be $10-$20 (please post your throughts on this). The Top 4 overall finishers would split up the league entires at the end, and there would *probably* be some sort of Tourney of Champions for the Top 9. I say "probably" because Stars won't let me set up freerolls any more, so I need to see if I can do it on Full Tilt.

Oh, and I'd also like to plat AT LEAST half the games on Full Tilt, if not all of them. Stars has shown us that they don't want our business any more, so I'm happy to take it elsewhere. Post your thoughts on this too.

No money needs to be shipped yet - just taking a general roll call to see if there is enough interest to set up another league.

All ideas are welcome.

Discuss.

Regarding the oddball games, I like them myself, but they ALWAYS have lower turnouts than the Hold'Em Events, and people have told me before they would play in the league if it was Hold'Em only, but won't because of the oddball games... so I figured this time, we'd tailor it to them.

Meh. I guess if the membership wants a league that caters to Hold'em players rather than poker players, that's a sign of the times. Hopefully, you'll have a reasonable mix of NL, PL and limit.

I am disappointed, however, that you'd even consider a HE only format.

On the other hand, I pride myself in not being an old fogey and digging my heels in against the tide. In the past 18 months I've abandoned 3 of my strongly held positions.

1. I'd never join the PPA (joined in late '06)
2. Never thought I'd regularly multi-table (started doing just that in mid '07)
3. Wouldn't go back to using PokerTracker because I thought it hurt my game more than helped. (Have been using it religiously since 1/1/08) hmmm - I think #3 and #2 are related.

So, yeah, I talked myself into it. I'm up for a HE-only league, and mostly on FTP is fine with me, too.

(anybody making book on when I'll make NLHE 6-max cash games my primary game?)

I should have money online by then, and Mondays are good for me. Consider me half a person at this point.

I will play when I can, and I prefer the wacky games, but I can't commit to the league.

I would be in, but I'm currently in a pool league monday nights which runs until 11 and ends mid may... So maybe I would only play in the last half of the league.
