lol so true...

I wouldnt even count the ME against your stats, that thing is like a lottery but you never know, if you can have some very very good luck over 7 or 8 days then maybe you can go deep next year.

My pleasure! I had fun doing it - even if I did retire early the first night...

I feel like there is so much more I could tell you guys about that I never got around to mentioning. I'll post some specific HHs (I believe I misplayed at least three hands during my three tourneys - and I don't necessarily mean the ones that knocked me out), but I feel like there is lots of other small stuff I didn't mention...

Like, here's a fun story from after Jen Harman got moved to my table:

It's about her 3rd hand, and she's the BB. I'm in the CO. She thinks she's UTG and folds her hand, and then quickly grabs her cards back. I say, "I think that's a tell," and we chuckle. It folds around to me, and I raise. Obvious steal? Maybe. The button and SB fold and I'm ready to scoop the pot, but Jen doesn't fold. I say, "Oh, now watch her come back over the top of me," and she says, "Well, this didn't look good from UTG, but it doesn't look so bad from here." I say, "OK," figuring we're going to take a flop. She looks me over and then folds her hand and asks, "If I came over the top of you, would you have folded?" I told her I couldn't answer that, but OBVIOUSLY the correct play would have been for me to push in with any two cards there (depending how much her raise was, of course). I mean, I know she doesn't have a monster, and she can't call all in with AT, 44, 78, KJ or whatever else it is she though she was folding from UTG. She folded though, so it didn't matter.

How about this hand, from a few days ago: The SB completes (I am sure he's strong and trapping), and the BB pushes in. The SB immediately calls and turns up AA. The BB shows 23o....... makes two pair on the river and eliminates the AA. Sick.

Playing with Clonie was fun too - she's nice. I am well aware of my image at the table and I use it to my advantage. It takes a while for me to establish it though, so when I was dealt AA the very first hand at her table (I went card dead after that for a long while) and she raises one position in front of me, I wasn't sure how to play it. In hindsight, I wish I had smooth called or made a smaller raise (we were in MP), but I reraised her 700 to 60 (100/200 blinds) to 2300. She thought about the 1600 more (with 4000ish left behind, she would have had to push in, I think, or else Stop and Go on me), but folded... If I raised a little less there or just smooth called, well, you never know. These are the types of plays I find myself second guessing after I get knocked out.

The other hands I have in mind are definitely worthy of their own threads, so I'll post them there.

Oh, one more thing I noticed... you kow those pics of me that got posted a page or two ago? Well, in the one where I am sitting and you can see my chips, those are 1000s (yellow) and 500s (pink). We effectively started the tourney with ONE of each of those, and my mountain is made up of stacks of 20 (looks like almost 160k total). Not only that, but I actually had more than 100k MORE chips at my peak... Man it's fun having a monster stack like that.

Interesting 'what if' scenario:

If she PUSHED, what range of hands would you call her with?

Somehow this pic made the "Featured Photos" (along with Alan Cunningham and Phil Hellmuth) at CardPlayer today. It's linked to from hundreds of pages on their site.

The words on my chest are pretty clear... That would be sweet if it got us some new members.

I definately noticed that and I don't see how it won't get us traffic at least. BTW, congrats on being in the company of Hellmuth and Cunningham!

You will note that they have us ranked in order of skill: Cunningham, then me, then Phil.

I finally got the pics from that day at Red Rock. Here are a few them... It really is a spectacular area, and one that I look forward to exploring more the next time I'm out there (hopefully when it's not quite so damn hot).

So I guess this post finally wraps up this thread. I had a great couple of weeks in Vegas - I can't wait to get back out there (and MAKE pshabi hang out with me)!

Edit: In the third pic, note the people standing on top of the ledge on the right - that will give you some perspective. And that last pic is after I climbed up that crevice. It doesn't look all that impressive from the angle of the camera, but it was a pretty decent climb. And like I said many pages ago, getting down was much harder than going up!
