Default Low blind structure NL play style

I am talking .50/1 to 2/4 blinds, which is better:

A: Aggressive betting style that lets you win hands without showing them

B: playing only premium hands and pound the idiots for calling you with garbage.

I tend to see alot of players (and alot of posts about players) who just flat out refuse to believe their pocket 10's are beaten and will call you to death. I would say you need the second stategy more than the first because of the benefits of that strategy make the first one very difficult. The problem is those premium hands only come by so often.

Thoughts?

i think this completely varies depending on the stakes, the experience level of players, and which of those strategies those players use.

if you play with a bunch of calling stations, obviously just play solid and let them call your bets when you have the best hand.

if you play with tight/aggressive/smart players, you can get a bit more creative, because these types are capable of believing bluffs.

i find theres a good variety of calling stations and weak/timid players at this level, you just have to test the waters and see what works against individual players.

Default Solidly in the 'B' camp

In the games that I favor, $25 NL at Party, if you don't have the best hand, you don't have a very good chance at winning the pot. Bullies will be called by calling stations. Sometimes the calls are good, some times they are bad. But even a pot-sized raise is not going to force people to release hands.

For the same reason, if you play very tight/aggressive, and ram and jam with the best hands, you should be getting paid off.

Another post that would imply my bankroll is - or at least should be -- larger than it actually is. I must not know as much as I think I do.

2Tone, I would like to see what the bankroll of alot of people is. It would seem that everyone on RPG played 50/100 limits and was CRUSHING the game. I always try to be honest with what limits I play and what my bankroll is, what difference does it make if you think I am broke or a zillionaire? Besides somebody is gonna see you at the tables somewhere at limits much lower than they brag about playing and that "uh, my girlfriend was using my account" excuse just doesn't play.
