| Hand of the night...

I actually logged a small winner tonight, but this was still my biggest and therefore favorite hand of the night. As soon as he turned his cards face up, I started stack up my chips to slide across the table. Silly me was hoping he only had an overpair, cause I have enough trouble dodging 2 outs.... but dodging EIGHT, no way. Oh, and I just ran some numbers - turns out the chances of the board pairing here were exactly 0%. Who knew??? Full Tilt Cash game, buy-in $, $2/$4 No Limit, 6 players Hand History by SB: $ sitting out BB: $792.30 UTG: $211.30 MP: $ sitting out CO: $ sitting out HERO (Button): $518.90 BB posts Big Blind $2 UTG posts Pre-flop: 5 5 ($6) HERO raises to $14 BB raises to $52 UTG folds HERO calls $38 Flop: 3 4 5 ($108) BB bets $64 HERO raises to $224 BB raises to $740.3 and is all in HERO calls $242.9 and is all in Turn: 3 4 5 7 ($1315.2) River: 3 4 5 7 T ($1315.2) BB shows Q K BB wins $1040.80 with a flush King high |

Let's say the flop was 2 4 9 , and he leads out $64. What's your play in that situation?

Depends. We were three handed here, and even 6 handed, I know this player has a large 3 betting range. I was tempted to 4 bet him preflop but didn't want to get into a race. I want to say that I'd still raise, but probably a bit less to not commit myself. If I made it $180ish to go, that should do the trick, and if he shoved after that, I guess I'd fold for $290 more. I dunno... It's hard to say. I might just fold to his bet. |
