No way is this worth a dime. Come on dude...

As for this thread, I'm looking forward to getting my hands on SS2. SS was good, but I was a bit disapointed when I read it after everything I had heard. Don't get me wrong - great book, but I guess I was expecting some more.

Negreanu is the best.

If Super System is the first Poker Book you read, it won't be that good. I had read two others before, so when I read SS, it supplemented the other texts nicely.

I think it was #4 or so for me. Don't get me wrong - it's a great book and everyone should read it. All I was aing is I was a little let down after all the hype surrounding it, and I didn't feel it added THAT much to my game...

all the hype comes from the fact that it was the first really comprehensive poker book; newer authors have learned from doyle's mistakes, and mistakes of other poker authors, so they wrote better books (which are probably your top 1-3)

i am really looking forward to this when it comes out. i think the people that are writing the chapters (chan, negreanu, etc) are the best players in the game, and i hope that they dont pull and punches when they give their advice.

hopefully it comes out sometime in the near future. i had heard that about doylesroom, but hopefully it is just a marketing ploy. you have to get something like 10k point sto get a copy on the site, so it could be a while before everyone there gets a copy.

ROTFLMFAO!

I heard something about it only being released to people that play on his site, and therefore the release date has been pushed back indefinately.

[quote=GeoffM]Yeah that was part of their marketing ploy, that DoylesRoom.com was the only place to get SS2 at first...but even for the people who earned the points on his site necessary to get the book still have to wait. They keep on pushing back the release date. It was October, Now it's November, who knows when it will actually come out
