			I wouldn't play HU at $1/$2 w/o a minimum of a $1k bankroll.  You have 250 bets.  That's 2-3 bad days in a row, and I'm referring to 6-max.  Heads up has much more variance. I seriously think 750-1000 BBs is the necessary roll for shorthanded games.

			Actually, I've been wondering about this.... Does HU really have more variance than 6 max?  I mean, you've only got 1 opponent to beat, right? I realize why 6 max has more variance than full ring, but I think by the time you get to Heads Up, it may actually go the otehr way. I'd need to think about it some more though - I'm not sure. Don't get me wrong - obviously the PER HAND variance is going to be WAY higher, as you will be playing pretty much every hand, but I wonder if it's more likely to even out faster over the course of a session too... |
