You would think there would be a max buy-in limit. They have them at B/M casinos ... wonder why not online. Maybe promote as much action as possible. Bigger pots = bigger rakes?

I could possible see doing this ina NL game, maybe. But a limit game @ .5/.10! The absolute most anyone could wager on one hand would be $1.20! Guess he would like to have 10,000 max hands available for those inevitable downswings, lol.

Most places online don't have a max buy in for limit because you can only bet a fixed amount.

and in limit it doesn't matter anyway. Many people just sit down with their whole bankroll at a site every session. This should not have any impact on the way you play (as it would in NL).
Just hope he also plays badly and will be spreading it around the table. My guess would be that there are not many bad players with 12K in a site though, so they might just be getting used to the interface before moving up to the higher limit games. |

I guess there's a small intimidation factor, but it really shouldn't matter. Maybe he just won a bug multi-tourney. Maybe he hit an extra zero by accident when depositing.
No matter how it happened, you can just consider it yours for the taking, albeit $1.20 at a time ![]() |
