ah shit, I knew that too. A long time ago I bonded with my soon to be mother-in-law (a born, breed, and never lived anywhere else NH gal that was rightly suspicious of the west coast asshole that wanted to married her baby daughter) over a huge plate of fried whole clams and a few cold beers.
