no, im not even comfortable with the nuts after a bad streak last night... flopped a straight in omaha vs a guy with a set and a guy with a flushdraw, they both called the all in and the flush came on the river... then i flopped the nut set, destroyed by a guy with runner-flush with midpair... people are fucking unbelievable...
and nobody say 'o thats cuz theres more screws in omaha'... because similar things happened to me the whole night in holdem also.. fuck.partypoker.i.hate.it. -jB |

While I haven't played much poker for the past 4 days (actually I havent played a single hand), when I do feel that I can't win a pot, it usually means I gotta take a break for a bit...
Cheers, Gutzz PS. The reason I haven't played isn't because of poker beats/losses... It's because of life ![]() |

I could never play NL Omaha. It is just such an easy thing to swing from the Nuts to last man standing in one card. I like playing O8 ring though! And yes, HE screws you even more. O8 at least has the benefit of getting the low if your high is destroyed.

I have been hitting some swings lately, a lot more variance than I'm used to seeing. But whats weird, and this is only on poker champs, that every time I lose a big hand or two, within the next 10 hands I win a huge one to make up for it. A few minutes ago I lost 7x BB with TPTK losing to a hidden set, and then the next hand flopped the nut flush, but only made 11x BB. This is the way its been for a while!
I think that my too tight image is hurting me... |

Yeah, I have played a couple of tourneys that were NL omaha h/l and I went out in like 1-3 hands in both of them. Great hands, great flops all in, then beat by a draw. Should you just wait for the river to try to get all in? If someone raises all in and you have the best hand currently, do you call knowing they most likely have a good hand with a draw that beats you?
I have done ok in limit omaha h/l tourneys, but having some issues knowing when to commit in NL. I will move this to a new thread to discuss it.... Last edited by BlibbityBlabbity; 12-22-04 at 12:08 PM. |
