I only chase when I think I got good odds. Especially gutshots. I LOVE chasing gutshots when I have odds, especially when it's to the nuts . Probably the only chase I might fold is when I have second pair or third pair, and I can chase for 2 pair or trips. Some instances, even with what look like good odds, I'll fold. Cheers, Gutzz |

You're telling me you wouldn't call if you were getting 12:1 on your money? Also note that I said, "especially when it's to the nuts." Most gutshots to the nuts also include an overcard or 2. Yummy indeed. :P Gutzz PS. I understand that at levels you play at, it's rare for there to be enough money in the pot to justify a gutshot chase; but for the loose games I play in, often I'm getting 15:1 or better . |

"Won the first pot and ran..." You really should keep that to yourself lol! j/k . But I didn't mean to say that you played big stakes. I just figure the guys there play tighter. What's the average saw flop for the 2/4 and 3/6 tables you play at? Cheers, Gutzz Last edited by Gutzz; 01-11-05 at 09:56 PM. |

I'm not too proud to say I was in over my head... I had top pair and top kicker and was very nervous when the pot cleared $100 at the turn... guess I was thinking I can't affort to lose... sure I could afford to lose the one pot and have lost bigger pots than that, just the amount of the blinds and the fact it was 3-handed scared me with the potential losses....I cashout every month and only hold a bankroll that would sustain a regular 2/4 player ($500).... although it was considerably higher when I joined the 10/20... so yes, I ran like a little girl when I won that first pot. On the other hand I have no problem putting my whole table stake into the middle at the 1/2 no limit game. Go figure eh? I actually prefer a tighter table so A) I can limit suckouts and thus variance down. and B) pull more moves... like representing a jack in a 5/10 game when there are 3 jacks on the board and I have bupkis.... I wonder if a certain someone will remeber this hand? On a side note, I just cannot play the 2/4 BadBeat table anymore... I only play pairs to the flop and A suiteds at this table now... Routinely get 6-9 callers..... Just fucking sick.
