Good question...
First thing you do if it is effecting your play... and it will if your bankroll is being severely diminished by these bad runs, is to step aside.
Good for you.. You've done that.

Next is to re-evaluate.
You no longer have the bank-roll for 2/4.
With 140 you actually don't have a decent roll for 1/2.

I see 3 possible scenarios here.
A) Put it all in to 3/6 and go for broke. [chances are good you will go broke]
B) Re-Load [Personally I think this is the best option.
C) Play some baby no-limit tables.... Either the $25 at Party or a 10cent/25cent blinds table somewhere else. (It will take some time but you should have a decent roll again within a week or two).
[This is also a good idea, it will just take you quite a bit longer to build up a roll rather than just re-depositing.]

Unfortunately you have run into some crap cards...
This is the "variance" that everyone is talking about... You always miss the flop, and you always seem to get sucked out on.

Just ride it out and stop playing in limits you are not properly bank-rolled for.
Good luck.

Oh, I forgot to say that i have that 40% bonus I have not collected...its 120 that i would like. And of course the 2/4 tables are the only ones that consistently give me that $20 raked pot for a $1 that gives me 1 point. And i need like 250 more. so you think reloading is the best option?

Hey,

IMHO, you never had a roll for 2/4, and shouldn't've played it.

If I were you, I'd redeposit to 250, and play 4 juicy .5/1 tables. You should hit 250 hands within the next 2 weeks if you play a fair amount of hours.

Cheers,

Gutzz

Reload and get that bonus. It's nearly 100% of your bankroll! If you play break even poker, you'll double up.

edit: popped by flush, negative again... oh well.

edit:kings twice in a row, popped by river trips....lame. which were middle pair after flop!

i pretty much had one of those days today while playing o8. it wasnt that i lost a bunch though, it was just a situation where only one a couple of cards in the deck could quarter or counterfeit me, it would happen. it was so frustrating to see that i went into nearly every hand with the best of it, and i wasnt really getting paid off. bu thell, that happens.

the best thing to do is to get away from the tables, or to play a different game for a bit. i am pretty bored playing holdem, so when i have that typ eof day at o8, i generally will play penny ante stud or s8b somewhere. i find that it is a fun twist.

maybe that is just tonights results talking though, as i basically made up all of my omaha losses in 45 hands of stud (catching quads twice tends to help)

You sound like you are a beginner LightFungus. Please don't be offended if you are not, just sounds like you are... Nothing wrong with that, we all were at one point.... Here's a little advise that should work for you if you are a beginner.
Didn't realize you had a bonus to earn at Party.
1. Earn it. play the omaha HL until you earn it.
Do not get involved in hands unless you have a "Great" starting hand.
2. withdraw from Party.

3. Deposit at Ultimate Bet or JetSetPoker.
Ignore the bonus offered to you.
4. Start Playing the cheapest Sit-N-Go tournaments you can find.
At Ultimate Bet They have $1+.10 SitnGos.
This is a very cheap way to gain experience
Same goes for Jetset, I think they still have Very cheap multi table tournaments.... And they also have a freeroll like every 30 minutes or so....
These are very cheap ways to get experience....
5. Play these "cheapies" for quite a few months... you are looking for experience, not profit at this stage....
6. When you feel you are ready save $500 and make another deposit at Party when they have a reload bonus available. Use this as your bankroll and protect it at all costs.

i was trying to apply a firstime bonus thinking it was a reload. I have played many sit n gos and have plenty of success with them. Its the ring games that I am trying to learn better with. However, I did not play sitngos for months on end, and I have considered going back to that once i get my money back on pokerroom but maybe i will do it TO get my money back. Nonetheless i swear I play good hands only, and i simply wasnt hitting.

A question though...what about AXo that is below say 10, so nine and below. I tend to call the big blind or raise with position (say with 3 others and the blinds left to act) if no one else has raised attempting to buy blinds, do i need to be later in position or is this ok?
