whats your name on stars?

as for rebuys... I do a immediate rebuy at the beginning and go from there... if I suffer a bad beat early I will usually rebuy and addon to 3K again since I gotta think my luck is going to improve then do the addon at the break.

Thanks. That's how I was figuring. My name on Stars is PShabi, but I haven't registered yet.

"Supposed" to hang out with the wife and already put some B&M in this afternoon. Got about 10 minutes to decide.

What's your name?

my name on stars is demonstalker but I dont play the $10+ rebuys... too much for my bankroll... I usually play the 5.50+ rebuys if I play any rebuy tourneys.

1. Rebuy immediately.
2. Your goal is to double up by the first hour... that's it... anything extra is gravy.
3. Achieve the double up by playing tight.
4. If you have not had a chance to double up within the first 45 minutes... loosen up and be willing to try and double up with draws.
5. Add-on at the end of the re-buy if you have more than your starting chips +the immediate re-buy. If lower or equal, then it may not be worth it.
6. If you are among the top 10 or so (depends on number of entrants) save your money and skip the add-on .
7. Good luck,

I like this, except for maybe #6. I think you should always take the add-on.

i dont generally like or play rebuys, so my advice here i slimited.

i think that you just have to be willing to rebuy as many times as you can, and always take the add on. sure, there will be the once in a lifetime chance where you have as many chips as the rest of the field combined, but other than that the add on should essentially be mandatory.

as for game play, i think that it becomes more like a ring game for the first hour, and after that you have to tighten up. anytime that you feel like you have a slight edge, you should exploit it early on. you can always rebuy afterwards if you bust. sometimes i think that this might even extend to situations where you might not have the correct odds, but i am not quite so sure about it.

i generally dont like these tournaments because they do not suit my tight style of play, but there are definitely people who excel at them. as long as you have the bankroll for them, i wouldnt shy away if you feel like they are a good fit for you.
