I sort of spaced out during the hand, so I don't remember the action before Scottty shoved. One leak I try very hard to plug is stealing against a short stack where, if he shoves, I'll be priced in with trash. If the J5s guy was getting 2.5:1 or better, its an automatic call. He's not that big a dog vs Scotty's range. But that's a reason to make the initial raise in the first place.

Dude raised from the SB (steal), Scotty reraised from the BB. Dude obviously put him on a steal and REreraised. This was his mistake, IMO. Just let it go here. Scotty shoved and by now, dude was priced in with his J5.

You cant hate the line (it sucks because you committed yourself, but it also prevents Scotty from making a re-resteal) because Scotty will 3 bet a shit load of hands in this spot against what he perceives a steal. I remember a WPT with Daniel and Scotty, where Daniel raised preflop and then bet the flop (like 2/3 the pot or something) and Scotty had the min raise already prepared and immediately threw it out. Daniel looked at him like wtf? Scotty says "you bet no matter what I raise no matter what -- what??" (or something like that)
