What kind of "good reason" could you possibly have?
"I want to see his hole cards because I think he has a better hand than me" ??? But I actually didn't know, I always assumed it was FullTilt only.

Something else I didn't know about Casinos until my trip last weekend: Dealers can't tell you how much is in the pot. I've been to this casino a few times, but never had someone ask. Some old guy at our table asked and the dealer said that they're not even allowed to stack the chips because "That's giving odds".
Yeah as long as you keep the chips messed up, there aren't any odds in poker  .

Suspicion of collusion. That's why the rule exists. FWIW, who cares if they can see what you mucked. Most of them won't be able to effectively use the information.

True enough. I know I like to see what they mucked so that I can get a better sense of what they will call down with. I have foudn this VERY useful in 5CD.

Funny story relating to this....At the Taj this weekend, a player's bet was called on the river and he mucked his hand, the other player dragged the pot and wanted to see what the other guy had. The dealer OPENED THE MUCK and just started fishing through it. I was like WTF????

Ive actually known this for aquite awhile but am amazed at the amount of people who don't know it. Especially when you tell them what thay had and it was no good.
