I just got this reply. It makes sense, so I'll shift it from the "unfair" column to the "sucks for me" column.
Full Tilt does not pay players rakeback directly. There are a number of rakeback affiliates who offer players up to 27% rakeback if you sign up to Full Tilt Poker through their site. In other words, rakeback is not a promotion offered directly by us. All the promotions that we, Full Tilt Poker, offer can be found on our website: Hopefully this explains and answers your question and I do apologize if this causes any inconvenience for you.

I don't know how that response makes you feel any better... but yeah, that's how it works.
I agree that it's stupid they they "charge" you (or me, as the affiliate - however you want to look at it) for "prizes" you win. I can understand being charged for redeeming points, but "prizes" in a contest like this should be 100% on them, IMO. |

Yeah, it sucks. However, I was happy to hear an actual explaination, rather that a "tough, that's how it is".
I was just hoping for that hats to give as prizes at my home game. For the FTP points, I want to save up for something really good. Getting back into the cash games is helping with that and rakeback.

Yeah, it's pretty easy money, if you have any idea how to play the particular game. There are so many ghosts. The NLH events are actually tougher because more people play them and it is easier to go broke in one hand.

![]() I played a razz event, and my entire table was sitting out, i raised every hand for the better part of an hour and managed to FT, only scored like 50 but not bad for a game I don't particularly know how to play.
