Obviously, I'd like a playoff. But, the team left out will always have an argument.

I mean, it's reasonable to state that conference champions should have preference over teams that didn't play in their conference title game or didn't win their conference.

At that point, you just get in to a big ol' bucket of fail with some conferences not even having a conference title game and some conferences just being massive fail and producing a 3/4 loss conference champion.

Umm, did you not see the last two games they played? In the elite 8 I just can't include a team that gets thrashed 65-21 then has to mount a 4th quarter comeback at home to beat a bad Baylor team.

That's just it, though. They'd have just as reasonable an argument as Texas to be included. And, there are other teams that could argue that some teams didn't even play in or win their conference title.

There will always be someone arguing. Whether it is Texas and the national title or Boise State and an at-large bid or the #9 team in the nation looking at an 8 team playoff.
