I bet a whole bunch of game earlier this week for today:

Lions + 13.5
PAnthers -3
Eagles -14
Cardinals +2.5
Falcons -3
Broncos +4

Panthers, Falcons and Broncos would be my favorite 3 of those.

Calm down. Jets are up 10 and the Bills are down to the backup QB.

Remember the great quote from the movie -The Gambler-: "They don't pay off on half-time scores."

Considering how poorly both of those teams have played...I wonder if it is possible to give both of them a loss instead of letting them tie.

Lord knows the Jets or Bills don't deserve to win.

Default 2 for today

SF -4 vs. Tenn

Logic: I've said I lean towards dogs in interconference games between mediocre teams. In this case, neither team is mediocre. The Titans are a bad team with a weak QB, and the 49'ers are becoming a good team. last week vs. Indy was not a fluke.

Texans +8.5 at Indy

Logic: No brainer. Best bet I've seen this year. Colts' secondary is decimated vs a passing attack that's right up there with the best in the NFL. Peyton will have to absolutely light it up to avoid their first loss here. In fact, taking flier on a parlay of Hou +8.5 and over 49.5 in this game would look tempting to me if I liked parlays.

22-31 for 200 yards and 1 TD...5 minutes in to the second quarter.

I think his arm is going to fall off before the start of the fourth.

I booked the following just before 1:00 kickoff:

Falcons -8.5
Saints -12
Chargers +5
Eagles -3
Broncos +3

And Jimmie Johnson to win the NASCAR race today.

I know that's your team, but giving double digits to a home dog is very -EV over the long term. At least the Phillies saved the weekend for you.

I actually forgot to bet on the Phillies (and on Jimmie Johnson) somehow. But I still enjoyed the game.

I went 4-2 for NFL bets yesterday (added in the Saints right before game time).

OK, here's 2 for this week.

Jets -6.5 at Oakland

Logic: Jets cannot lose another game before playing Miami next week, and despite what the Raiders did (or Philly didn't do) last week, Rex Ryan's defense should befuddle JaMarcus Russell.

Bills +7 at Carolina

Logic: OK, I admit it. I gravitate toward dogs in interconference games between mediocre teams. In addition, Thomas Davis, the Panthers best run stopper, will be way less than 100% IF he plays at all, and the Bills can run. The Bills can also rush the QB, and Jake Delhomme needs things to be perfect not to suck.

I almost forgot to make some bets this week. Let's see, I'm gonna go with:

Chargers -5.5 vs. Chiefs
Packers -9 vs. Browns
Vikings +6 vs. Steelers
Saints -6 vs. Dolphins
Falcons +5 vs. Cowboys
Eagles -7 vs. Redskins

Also, Jimmie Johnson will win Martinsville today, but the odds are just terrible. Betting $10 to win $25 in a field of 43 drivers on a short track? I can't do it.

Obv betting 6 NFL games after 2 minutes of looking at the lines, I'm more betting for fun that anything, but those are my picks for this week.

I went 4-2 again this week AND won my 7 team (straight up, not ATS) parlay. Woot!

My rarely used (just for-fun) sports betting account now has a balance big enough that I think it's worth cashing out some for the first time in a long time.

I'm petty sure I only ever deposited once, way back in 1997 and I've only made a few withdraws, but it's pretty cool to still be running on that same money.
