I don't think so, no. But you need to be careful with stuff like that, because if he doesn't say it clearly, and anyone (especially the dealer) misunderstands him and thinks he is saying "Call" - they are going to get a floor involved and they could decide to make him call, regardless of what his true intentions were.

To answer the question posed: No its not a call, but as TP said u should be careful with dialogue along this line bc it can be misconstrued....
Then again I once had the Borgata brilliantly rule in a pot of mine that when a flop came X X X and I said to my HU opponent "better check for a diamond" that I had checked. (My opponent immediately checked after i said the statement and made a fuss over it) bc i said the word check, and that i should be carefulI asked them if my opponent asked me if I was Russian and I replied "No Im Czech" if it would also be a check? I didn't receive an answer

ok in this instance floor was called over and the player was told it was a call, he got real upset and refused to pay and was asked to leave the casino.
