Default I agree with Zybomb

Penguin, I believe you to be a good player, and very likely a better NL player than I am. But I don't like the play here at all. Checkraising with a pair of 8s?

If you want to play aggressive, fire at it to being with. Otherwise, it gets checked around, the turn brings that King, and you could well be beat.

Meanwhile, a moderate size bet by him could well mean he's on a draw, but you have to at least consider the possibility he has a 2 or a 6. Do you want really want to bet all your chips that he won't hit any of his 8 outs?

No disrespect meant, but I wouldn't have played it this way.

I agree this was not a textbook play on my part, but trust me when I tell you this guy was betting out at every pot after the flop weather he hit it or not, I had him on big cards or suited Ace since he didn't raise before the flop. In all honesty I was in a spot I wanted to make some chips and this was my spot, him making 4 to a straight is what hurt, if an Ace fell it would not have been so bad.
