I think if you want to win the tourney, a rebuy off the bat is the good play. You want to double up as much as possible. Always take the addon as well, no matter how many chips I have (if the addon is a good deal, ie I want take a 500 chips addon - for Casinos - for $75 if the blinds are 200/400), its just a waste of money. But 2000 chip addon for 100-200 blinds I would take.
