I'm not sure what you think he should have done there. He DID have 44 and there was 40 chips in the pot.......duh push in there, no question.

Seriously, does 2nd move you up to level 2? If so congrats. In any case good luck. It is just a matter of time before someone here gets to level 5 with all that are playing these steps

No. In a Step 1, second place just gets you another freebie to try again. The only way you can advance to Step 2 (through Step 1) is by taking 1st.

Step 2 is a little more forgiving, letting the 1st AND 2nd place finishers advance to Step 3.

The Step challenge is so damn frustrating. I once made it up to step 5 and then came one spot out of the money. I wasted an entire night of playing lol. It just seems impossible to do it.

It was the original step challenge at $11 investment but nonetheless I see your point. The only point I'm trying to convey is how frustrating it is to play so long and progress so far, only to miss a decent payday by one spot.
