So was I. I thought Jesse was going to tear him up, but Gomez really has heart.
I don't know if there will be another season or not, but I hope there is. Then next year's winner could fight this year's and so on. Peter was outmatched tonight, but I'd still like to see a rematch. I think he could take Sergio... I'd like to see Peter fight Gomez again (rubber match, since they are 1-1), and then the winner of that could take on Sergio. |

I have a really good idea...
If they have another season, run it the same way they did this one... BUT... during the finale, before the "main fight" for $1m, have the Mora/Manfredo rematch. I'm assuming it would be around 6 months from now - something like that? And before the rematch, they could cut to scenes at how the $1m changed Mora's life, the impact from the Contender on both fighters, clips of them preparing for the rematch, etc. I'd rather see that fight than the "losers" fight. Shit, Jesse fought last week, Gomez had to come back from Mexico... lol... they weren't fighting for anything. (Pride maybe?) At least this way, the rematch fighters will be ready, the fight will be anticipated, and even moreso, I'll have enough time to place some money on Sergio. (NO WAY Manfredo will ever beat him unless he SERIOUSLY bulks up.)

Jesse didn't fight last week. That show was taped months ago.
I aklso think your 6 month estimate would be more like 9 months to a year. They need to record the show, edit, produce, air, etc.... I doubt they would start airing it until the fall season, but depending on the schedule, they could probably have the live fight ready to go around Super Bowl time... That would be sweet. |

Anyway, do you like the idea of having the big rematch the same night (live) as the $1m fight for season two?
