What does the house take?
So unlike the $10 + 1 that I play, I never see the WSOP events listed as $10,000 +, say, 500. What percentage of the prize pool does the house take? How much would they stand to make by allowing another 1000 players at 10k a head?

They take it out of the 10k: 4% for the house and 2% for the tournament staff. 6% of $10,000 is $600.... so, for an additional 1000 players, they are looking to take home and additional $600,000 - $400,000 of which goes straight to the house.
