Default Closer..

Well after two nights of no money, I hit a 9th place finish in the 1K. It did not pay much but it felt good. Still looking for the big one. I also scored $100 playing 1/2 limit so that was nice.

Still waiting for TPs scouting report. I expect him to say "WEAK! WEAK! WEAK! I love it!" but we will see.

You too huh? I've turned $50 into $115.75 so far at Titan, good hands + soft players = dance all night.

A friend of mine who is a much better limit (all around?) player than I am has taken $40 and turned it into over 2K twice so far.

Twice? How did he get from $2000 back to $40 in between tries? Don't tell me he cashed out $1960 to leave himself with just $40, because that seems a bit silly...

Come on TP!

To understand a SWA, you have to think like a SWA.

What he means is, he took a $40 deposit, turned it into 2k, lost it all, and then did it again.

He won 2k twice!

I'm on the brink of turning $25 into $1000... but I won't be losing it anytime soon.

I've never invested a single cent into online poker and have turned it into 4K and counting.

Default yup

He cashed out to have a baby, then only wanted to buy back for a little.. so he did that.. and now is on the verge of cashing out again and taking a break or buying back in for a few bucks, I dont know.. I can ask him the motivation of not keeping his money in a poker site.

Don't get me wrong... I'm all for people cashing out whenever they want/need to... I'm just surprised he would cash out $1960 in this case and leave himself with a lousy $40 to work with. Why not cash out $1800 (hardly different that $1960, relatively speaking (not even 9%)) and leave yourself with $200 (EXTREMELY different than $40, relatively speaking (500%)) to rebuild with? That's all I was wondering...

That's what I did (not the same numbers of course). Literally started out with nothing (freerolls at Bicycle Club site, won some change from that and a free Pokertropolis tourney entry) and somehow managed to go on a tear there to accumulate about $800 in a month. Of course it didn't last, but I did get a few free months without 'work' and some money out of it.
