Default One last thing..

I think this thread was cool. If for nothing else than for people to talk about what they beleive is a winning strategy. All good stuff. I can not argue.

I guess my problem is I am stuck in the middle. I know I could crush the 5/10 on Titan and it would be somewhat worthwhile money. I have played MUCH HARDER 5/10 competition. It is very passive here. Makes it easy to draw out and make money. Not alot of check-raising or trickyness at all. Hell, not much bluffing .. some people bluff alot, but most people play very passive, readable, poker.

However I do not want to put 2K online. That is a substantial amount of money for me, so I need to win my way back to 3K in order to play. Sometimes Poker drives me mad and I feel like doing crazy shit, other times I am pretty stable. Anyway, thanks to everyone who commented. Again, all good stuff.

but 300's not?

BTW I don't think this is an experiment so much as I think it's flushing money down the toilet, an experiment implies that it accomplishes something or would prove something which this certainly doesn't.

Default Well..

The question of the experiment was simple: Can one take $5-$15, win a small MTT, and turn that original capital investment into $1000 in a week. I guess the next question is can it be repeated.

I think it is worth asking. You risk minimal amounts of your capital bankroll so technically you are playing in the affordable range of your bankroll. While $300 on a 30/60 table, while way too little, is enough to find a hand or two and make $1000. It is not as hard as it might seem. Every pot is at least $400. It is not FLUSHING money away as everyone thinks. It may not be the optimal way to make money, but there is a very good chance of turning that $300 into $1K. I have done it before people. Call it lucky. But I have done it multiple times. It is not impossible. As a matter of fact, with the play I have watched and participated in, I would say it would be probably. The only chance it does not happen is if I get sucked out on.

You all have this awe of anyone playing 30/60. Grow up people. They are the same as you, they just have more cash. As a matter of fact I would put a bunch of you up against any of the players I have seen there, and if you did not wet your pants because you were so scared, I bet you would outplay them. There are sites where the 30/60 players are much better than you are. I would be scared myself if I was playing on those sites, but I am not. I am playing in some freaking retard Poker dream world where people try and catch there 2-outers all the time. I keep pinching myself and hoping they do not run out of money before I get some.

Anyway, the experiment is closed for now. I will let you know if I decide to try it again. Oh, and yeah I will say it again, $300 is not a huge amount of money.

If this is true, then you should be depositing $2000 online into this site RIGHT NOW. Why do you need to wait to win a roll if these games are so bad? I have to imagine you've got that lying around somewhere with a close to 200K income.

Default You know...

Considering this very board just recently had a 'Build Your Bankroll' contest starting with $50 IIRC, I think a few people here are taking this a little too seriously.

Default Dont feel like it..

I like keeping Poker as a hobby. Trying to make some money at it, but not losing anything. I do not want to invest 2K into a hobby. It is better as a $200 once a year kind of thing. Either someday I win alot or I do not.. either way it stays a hobby this way.
