It was a good thought in my mind. Denver has been pretty flaky the past two years in the beginning. And then you have the Spurs...

On the other hand, betting NBA sounds like a wish to be mugged. They play 80ish games... and they get bored and it depends on their mood each night. I just dont think its a betable sport.

I went 3-0 today. I had Dallas -2 and the Over (double OT gave the to me and a 1 point spread cover YES...and they were down 17 with 6min to go) and I had the Spurs at -9 who just covered also

I love the Heat -4.5 tomorrow in Memphis...... any other picks anyone?

I disagree I think NBA is the best bet

NFL: Very tough -- too many backdoor covers (like GB this week) and meaningless scores. In addition the people setting the line have an entire week to research etc and make sure its perfect, Bball there are tons of games and they are each day, so the time is not there to put that much effort as football.

MLB: You pretty much go on Pitching Comparisions when betting, so you are usually liking the favorite.....there are no lines, just odds and this works against you when you go 4-5 on a day and barely come out ahead bc of the ridiculous odds.

NFL is pretty hard to bet IMO...

NFL Im a losing bettor this yr while in college football Ive made a ton... in college its alot easier to find a juicy line, etc... While in the NFL anything can happen.

Im sure the NBA is bettable but just gotta know what your doing.

in the DEN/SA game, I thought they were going to play alot more defense... Ive never seen the spurs give up so many easy baskets and Denver will either score 100 or 70 so you just never know.

Default Todays plays...

Wizards (-2) vs Toronto Washington was one of the best teams in the east last year while the raptors were one of the worst. I see Arenas and the boys getting up for the season opener and win this game.

Atlanta (+13) vs Golden State Ive got 2 main reason for making this bet. 1st I believe Atlanta will want to come out and win this season opener after the death of Jason Collier and this kind of emotion has done alot for teams in the past. Also Jason Richardson of Golden State might miss this game and he is possible the warriors best players.

NBA YTD 0-1

Washington doesnt have Hughes, and whats Batman without Robin? I don't know if the hawks beat golden state by 13(if thats what that +13 means). Believe me, I live in ATL, so I watch them. I hope they win though, and by 13 would be nice.

+13 makes them the underdog, so they have to lose by less than 13 points. They should cover that.

I plan on taking the hawks if and only if Richardson does not play. Atl has lost their last few season openers by 16 or more FYI though (If anyone has an update on Richardson please reply)

I am staying away from the other game -- but I like toronto actually -- they are a good home team and the Wizards are not close to the same team as last year

I like Miami and I am thinking about Indiana as well....

Nov 2 Warriors swingman Jason Richardson missed a second straight practice on Tuesday because of a sore left knee, leaving his status for Wednesday's opener against the Hawks is in question. "I'll play," Richardson told the Contra Costa Times. "I've worked too hard this offseason not to be able to help my teammates. I just have to take a couple of precautions." Warriors coach Mike Montgomery took at less aggressive approach, saying, "It will be a game-time decision. If he can't go or be effective, he can't play."

Regardless I think this injury will slow him down and bring down his minutes because they wont want to overuse him in the opening game of the season.
