I'd have to trust my read on the player, and from all aspects, the guy holding KJ was wayyyyyyyy to comfortable. Smiling, pleasant demeanor, no reaction to the bluff-call of Matusow. When a single J or K beats my hand, I muck.

Yeah, I meant none mike side of things. Do you think you could have gotten another bet out of him on the turn though, continue the show of strength?

Maybe... but I think I prefer the check.
Oh, and I would have tried to "act" just a bit more uncomfortable/quiet/still, to make it appear like it could be a bluff. I think the true goal here is to get him to put all his chips in drawing dead, which was a possibility on the flop (IMO). |
