Playing poker this weekend, live game at the Taj, $1/2 NL...
With three people limping ahead of me, I found myself on the button w/ 56h. I limp, and the blinds come along. I flop the 3-4-7 (rainbow) nut straight. The action goes: Checked to a MP player who bets 2x the pot and says, "I got the nuts." I call. It's heads up. He checks the turn, I bet 1/2 pot, he calls. He checks the river, I bet 1/2 pot again (at this point as a value bet), and he says... "I had the nuts and I had you beat. Nice catch." I take the pot and muck face up saying, "You had the nuts on your chin." LOL.

one of the many would be when a fish calls a huge postflop bet on an inside straight/3-flush chase, which he then rivers, just to explain himself: 'it was cheap'.

"OMG IM SO GLAD THAT THE FISH LEFT ALL HE DID DO WAS SUCKON ME"
Taken straight from the chat box, this one was just funny but I hear similar sentiments about being glad that poor players left all the time. |
