I exclusively play NL ring games with moderate success, meaning my bankroll has grown at an exceptable rate. If I have a secret, it is good bankroll management. To win at NL ring games, I force myself to play with a bankroll of 20 buy-ins per table. With this coverage, the money really doesn’t matter that much and I can play my game. I grinded it out at micro limit tables to build that bankroll, then switched to micro ($25 buy-in) NL. I am only at two NL $50 buy-in tables right now, so this ain't gospel.
My biggest weakness is the “I am playing great poker and have had only winning sessions for a week” tilt. Suffered a bout of that this afternoon and donkeyed off three buy-ins.
Ah, 10 days of disciplined hard work gone in 45 mins.
