The 10x rule is fairly common for tourney play. It doesn't mean all in on the BB though. All it means is that when you stack gets down to < 10x the BB, you shouldn't be calling or raising anymore - you're either folding or pushing all in.
Of course this will be most successful when no one is in the pot ahead of you (if someone raises firat and you reraise all in, they will likely have to call because of the pot odds). The main point here is to all but eliminate calling and instead of making a standard 3x BB raise (or whatever), just push in. |

As for cash games, btw.... just reload, or move to a different table if you want. Wait as long as it takes.

i do pshabis rule, but for me its 8 BBs. Theres still a bit of room for play with ten x BB IMO. Also depends on the buy in of the sit and go, if its a small one (below $20) then people are gonna call with anything from Q8 suited to AA. If its the ones i play $50 or $100 6max, then your looking at a more AT - AA range, so if your in the SB/BB and you think the time is right, just try and figure out what they have first. If your in early position, hit and hope man.
Cash games leave the table if its costing you, have an hour off, watch a film, spend "quality" time with the woman, come back and go for it again. Na dif it isnt working, log off and "go for it agian" in other ways

Thanks for the tips guys..... Some real good advice there, I like the idea of pushing or folding with anything less that 10x the BB. Tried it tonight and it didn't seem to work, but I was a little more confident....thanks.
