Hey... one more rule I just though of...

If, after 5000 hands, anyone is DOWN money, they get their $50 back. No need to add insult to injury! I want to keep this friendly.

Some questions:

1. Any deadlines on when you'd need to complete 5000 hands?
2. Any "surrender" if for instance after 2500 hands you're down more than you're comfortable with and wish to quit? (I know, loser-ish question right there. Let's just say I'm asking on the behalf of others

It's funny, but I was just thinking about a foray into limit hold 'em again. I have the bankroll for 5/10 and was thinking I just might give it a try. This could be, as Nigel Tufnel likes to say, that "push over the cliff" that gets me to do it.

Cool. We'd love to have you play. As for your questions:

1. I suppose we need a deadline. I think one month is reasonable, right? We'll make this a February contest.

2. I also like the surrender idea. If you surrender, you won't have to keep playing/losing, but you won't get your $50 back. To get your $50 back, you'd need to actually log the 5000 hands and still be in the red.

Or I suppose we could give you half back, or something like that. I'll leave that up to you guys.

Personally, I don't think we should give any money back. But, if we do, it should be after 5k hands only. No half refunds.

Pokertracker doesn't have dates on when u won what money does it ?
So how are we going to know if people won the $ just during Febuary or not ?

You can filter it, starting on 2/1 on the preferences tab.

I guess by looking at the screenshot, we won't KNOW that no one is cheating, but hopefully no one will. I don't think any of us who are entered would.

And if people post daily updates, we'll be able to track it better too...

I already got in 450 today, mostly 3-tabling. Up $350 and about to start another session. I'll probably just play through and start the contest on the fly.

Over the next 40 minutes or so, I plan on building that $350 up to about 5 or 6 hundred. Once midnight strikes, I'll promptly begin dumping chips all over the place. If you want some, come and get it.

It's 11:57 and I actually fulfilled the first part of my prophecy, up $495. I really don't wanna make an ass out of myself and fulfill the rest so I'ma make like Billy Joe and Bobbie Sue.

I may start this contest tomorrow as a pre-game to the forum tourney. Maybe play during as well.
