Is your strategy failing you?
Are you sticking to a strict pattern?
Are you using the same pattern in all types of games? (including HU + MTT?)
I have been on a roll a lot recently and I have to give you partial credit from watching the way you play.

Thanks, I think.....

I'm playing like I always play (and no, of course I don't play NL MTTs or HU the same way I play 6 max limit - I can't believe you even asked that question!).

I've tilted off some money, I'm sure, but I honestly think 90% of my recent losses are do to (abnormal?) variance. The cards are being cruel. The idiots are hitting their draws and I'm missing all of mine. I'm also getting a higher than expected amount of second best hands (set over set type stuff, even), and that sort of thing.

It's hard to say though... I would think 5000 hands would be enough for it to somewhat even out, but it certainly hasn't. When I look at some of my Poker Tracker stats though, I can't help but laugh. For example:

In terms of $ per hand, my best hand is QTo. AA is NINTH on the list, far behind the likes of A7s, KQs, etc. Uh huh. KK is even farther down than THAT!

My worst hand is 88, which has cost me $229 so far.

I've been dealt 67o 51 times. 94o, Q7o and Q5o 45+ each. AKs and AQs, you ask? 9 times each. AJs - EIGHT times. Hell, I've had Aces 15 times! I've had AKo 30 times, for comparison sake, and have won a whopping $2.50 per hand with it. Ooooooooooooooooooooooh.

I figured you mix it up depending on which type of game.
Are you mostly playin limit these days?
or mixing in NL?
I have had bad runs with limit, maybe not quite as bad as yours,
but 0-100 hands or so is pretty bad.
I have moved from tight to loose to semi-tight, just
to break out of it.
Most of the time I can get it to work.
I have even tried to modify my games by playing freerolls.
even some stuff like the following, which I think was posted here has one me a bunch of hands:
Bets weak on a draw, strong on a made hand.
Bets the same on the flop and turn when drawing*** caught many doing this
Bets 1/2 the pot when CBing and more when he hits** hit and miss
Bets quickly after the cards come on a bluff and slower when strong.** hard to tell online.

Yeah... none of that really applies to 6 max limit.

And we're not talking 100 hands - were talking 3800 hands.

100 hands of losing is "pretty bad?" Well, I lost $450 last night over 600 hands. And that doesn't even have me worried. 10k hands is nothing. 100 hands is a drop in the ocean.

And the rest of the shit you posted makes no sense.

I think you can take someone's advice for a grain of salt when they mention playing in freerolls in an attempt to improve their game.

I'm getting one thing out of where this thread has gone...

Robber needs Haiku lessons.
