Well, I'm hanging my head in shame here.

It's funny... I was WAY down, and then started making a pretty nice comeback (still negative, but less than $1k). Well, after dropping $1100 in my last 500 hands, I'm actually down over 2 grand through 4800 hands. $2176.71 through 4811 to be exact.

I'm all but busted out of Party, and honestly, with the cards laughing in my face for 4811 hands now, I don't even feel like playing the remaining 189. F Party. F the idiots. And F $5/$10 6 max. How in the world I used to average nearly 3 BB/100 (over like 50k hands), I will never know. Cause for this 5k, I was down 4.5/100. That is just SICK.

Meanwhile, the guy who struggled (like Miss Piggy: Who Moi?) for 50k hands 4 months ago is 3-tabling blindfolded now. Variance.

I know it's variance (Well, 90% variance and 10% me being a tilting donkey)... but it's still annoying as shit.

Funny story.... so, I had like 40som dollars left. Decided to play NL until I got it over $50 (took like 5 minutes), and then commit the mortal sin of sitting at a 5/10 6 max game with 5, yes 5, BBs.

Worked it up to $166. And then the following three hands happened consecutively:

I got all in a few hands later and am happy to report I have finally busted out of Party Poker.

That's enough bullshit for me, thanks. After nearly 5000 hands of this crap, I have come to the realization that:
1. Long term, this may be one of the most profitable games on the planet.
2. The card gods hate me and refuse to let me reach said long term.

Final stats below (split since the Party upgrade). And yes, I'm keeping my $50 entry fee.

TP what type of player did it rate you as for these 5k or so hands?
(with the default ratings?)
Followup, do you have non-default ratings defined ? What are they ?

I've only messed with the Auto-Rate stuff a little bit, and not for a long time. Just looking at the numbers is usually good enough for me, so I haven't explored it more. I did set up custom rules for 6 max a long time ago though.

I'm pretty sure the rules I'm using are from this thread:

Let's see if I can make it update the ratings... Ok, the batch process is running now.

Damn, this thing is slooooooooooooooow. I wonder if it's doing ALL players for all limits. Hmmm...

Ok, that didn't work out too well. Turns out my imported rules are a bit screwed up. So I'm gonna try to redo this with the "default" rules, even though that won't make any sense, since this was all 6 max play.

Ok, finally done. Based on the default rules, I am "Semi-Loose-Aggressive/Aggressive" which in 6 max, is probably right about where I want to be.
