TP what type of player did it rate you as for these 5k or so hands?
(with the default ratings?)
Followup, do you have non-default ratings defined ? What are they ?

I've only messed with the Auto-Rate stuff a little bit, and not for a long time. Just looking at the numbers is usually good enough for me, so I haven't explored it more. I did set up custom rules for 6 max a long time ago though.

I'm pretty sure the rules I'm using are from this thread:

Let's see if I can make it update the ratings... Ok, the batch process is running now.

Damn, this thing is slooooooooooooooow. I wonder if it's doing ALL players for all limits. Hmmm...

Ok, that didn't work out too well. Turns out my imported rules are a bit screwed up. So I'm gonna try to redo this with the "default" rules, even though that won't make any sense, since this was all 6 max play.

Ok, finally done. Based on the default rules, I am "Semi-Loose-Aggressive/Aggressive" which in 6 max, is probably right about where I want to be.

TY.

FWIW, you'd see your winrate improve here if you were stealing blinds a bit more. I'm pretty f'ing liberal with opening raises from the CO or Button. Stealing more would increase your VPIP, which is a bit low. It also puts you into more profitable situations postflop, and your skills are good there.

But very nice run, JD.

I feel like a winner by quitting after 1k hands at -$30.

For the few days I played 5/10 limit, I have to say for a while it was a nice change of pace. But it didn't take long to begin to feel like a grind and become less enjoyable for me.

How about a NL challenge???

Sick thing is, I really, truly, enjoy the grind!

Don't know why. Guess I'm just sick.

Tempting... but I don't know how many more of these public challenges my roll can take. The poker gods all too often use me for their amusement.

Figured you would be in that category.
From my stats at a lower limit(.50/$1) so far I am Loose-Aggressive / Passive, which is where I think I don't want to be, lol.
I also know that I have to raise more when in position to steal(try to) more.

Even if this is only 100 hands, I can already tell:

1. You are too loose preflop.
2. You are not aggressive enough preflop.

And the fact that you are being labelled passive post flop is a big red flag.

The fix for this is simple... These numbers are just a guess, but they will get you on the right track: Take 80-90% of the hands you are CALLING with preflop and fold them. Raise with the remaining 10-20%. Obviously you want to be dumping the weaker holdings of your "calling" range and raising with the stronger holdings.

This will decrease your VPIP and increase your PRF, both things you want to do. You don't want to be ENTIRELY in raise/reraise or fold mode, but you want to be a LOT close than you are now. Your PRF should be more than half of your VPIP, for sure... and you're only around 1/4.

It was 212 hands, I was up a whopping $1.50, lol
I will try what you suggest.
My Flop % was way too high, so folding those 80-90% calling hands should help
