Whenever I feel like it.

Maybe in 5 minutes... maybe on April 30th. Probably somewhere in between.

Hello TalkingPoker,

I am eighteen years old, a senior in high school, and poker is my dearest love. I used to play only weekly live games with my friends, but i had begun to grow tired of playing with the same people and for such a limited amount of time (i also felt bad taking their money on a regular basis :-D) So, i began supplementing my desire to play cards 24/7 by getting my friend (KMB4, member of this blog) to lend me a few dollars to play Pokerstars. I always seemed to build my bank up to $50 then blow it all in .10/.25 cash or $10+1 sngs. Recently i hit my big break winning $450 for my friend in a $10+1 deepstacks tourny on his sn and getting 50% of the profit i earned for him ($170). From there i had about $220 in my account and i was smart putting only 5% of my money into any sit and go, tournament, or cash game. Everything was going fine - i was hovering around $400-$500 - when my interim came and i had a D-, a C+, and some other not so good grades. My parents promptly uninstalled pokerstars from my computer and made me withdraw all of my winnings ($349).

My current pokerstars account balance: $0.00. Now my only way to stay connected to the online poker world without any Pokerstars is by visiting . I enjoy reading about the bad beats people take, the situations TalkingPoker is put under in those difficult 90 man sngs, and all the other random poker talk on this site. Reading people's accounts is the closest thing to actually playing. Since i am not playing i have nothing to post, but i still visit this blog frequently.

My parents are going to let me play Pokerstars again in May when AP exams are finally over, but the problem is i have no way to deposit, and all of my friends are out of Pokerstars money. I know I am probably not the most deserving blogger for this $20, but i feel that if i get the $20 i will be smart with it (play .01/.02 NL and $1.20 sngs) and hopefully build-up a bankroll big enough to safely play those 90 man $50+5 sngs with Talking Poker himself! :-D

Two things:

1. Welcome to the forum. Well, welcome to posting in the forum, anyway.

2. If you are unable to deposit, how did you cash out?

Thank you i have been very intrigued by this blog - it is more welcoming to newer players than others such as pocket fives. I cashed out by getting a check sent to a friend who cashed it (for 10% charge).

Hey y'all.

My story is short and not so sweet.

Been playing for close to a year up until Jan, when I stopped, due to tilt. Lost $1600 & decided to take a break. Easier said than done.

A buddy, had mentioned this place, so I came to check it out. Maybe take my mind off my poker troubles. After I skimmed through a couple of posts in the, "How should I ...." and Party section (members making good money at Party), I decided to go try my luck at the poker tables again. Redeposited $500 at Party and lost it within 2 days. Called PS and Party and had them close my account. Removed all poker programs from computer.

Felt like a drug addict. Was dreaming and fantasizing all day and night about what I was doing wrong at the poker tables, or what cards I should've folded on or called on. I was a total wreck. I'll tell you this much, you know you really have a problem when you start fantasizing about "nuts" as in poker nuts, instead of "tits" as in I'd like to suck those gorgeous juicy melons, baby.

After a few days, I had to go back to at least try to make up my money. I thought I was better. So I went back on computer, downloaded Poker site again and opened a new account. Lost another couple of hundred dollars, smashed my computer to bits, went to a strip joint, met a girl and fucked the living shit out of her. End of story.

I'm back now. I think 3 months of no computer or poker did me a lot of good.

I've opened up a new account at PS, but have yet to deposit. I'm in no hurry. I've been playing the play chip tables to pass my time.

Well that's my story.

This is a well put together forum. I like the interface and style. Friendly and inviting and not too crowded as in other forums where you can't make heads or tails of what's new and what's not. Glad to be here.

Ken.

Unfortunately, I realized that you are not eligible for this contest, as you had posted prior to it.

But GL anyway.
