If TP himself were taking these bets, I think he would've gotten the same response. If I were taking these bets, I'd expect people to question me a bit and to ask for money to be held by a 3rd party.

The only reason I ask is because I know it's like pulling teeth for me to get the $10 you owe me after each of our league tourneys for our last longer bets. With varying excuses every time, eejit is exactly 1 for 3 in transferring what he owes me on the same day - including one time that was just three days after I sent him $130 for some W$. Where does all that money go??? Hell if I know.

But the point is, I too would be a lot more comfortable if you would set the $9k aside now. Otherwise, it feels like I'm making a longshot bet that I can't win, which is pretty much equivalent to throwing money out the window. If you are willing to set the money aside, I'll gladly go another $5 to $10. You said you could cover $50 worth of action, and you're only up to $30 so far, right?

I'm betting $20. However, the bet is off if eejit does not have the $3000 to a 3rd party by June 12, 12:00AM est. The rest would be paid to me no less than 24 hours after the victory is final.

Since he is the only person we mutually "know," I would be comfortable letting TP be the middle man (if he would, of course). I'd also trust Lou to do this as well.
