If getting a common time is an issue for a few people, we could do it in a forum thread (or chat room somewhere)and those who can't make it could have someone make predetermined picks based on your weighted list (chose top 30-40 in order and that person picks the top one left for each round).

Yikes..... that's getting pretty complicated, don't you think?
I agree that would be "ideal" though. Either way, I'd much rather do it for ONLY the Main Event, so we have a month plus to get all the details sorted out and get everyone together, instead of just a few days. It will be easier to "keep score" too. |

Due to time issues I think doing the ME only is the way to go. If we have a month, I am sure we can get a draft together, but who is going to come up with the list?

He's actually a pretty good player.
Ok, so it sounds like, for simplicity sake, we are leaning toward this: -Main Event Only -I say we do a friendly $10 entry fee (I will of course do more if enough people want to, but less seems pointless) What we really need to decide is if we are going to do a draft, or just have everyone submit a "team" of 25 players or so. The draft would be a shitload cooler. Doing it in the forum would be a nightmare, but we can set up a big AIM chat or something, I'm sure. Any thing else to consider before I start the official thread and see who is in? |

I have an administrator friend at another private forum that got a chat room specifically for the forum. Now this is not only useful for this draft, but also for railing and all kinds of things we can do. I don't know how expensive or easy it is to get since I am not familiar with how those things work, but yeah...just a thought.
I also have no problem with doing the list thing if we can't set up a draft. It would still be enjoyable.
