In all seriousness, though, I think the first thing I would do is find out exactly how much I would have to pay in taxes. I don't think the IRS would look kindly upon it if my bank account took a $65,000 pad and I didn't seem to know where it came from. After that, assuming I had about $45 left, I would just pay off my car and credit cards, and help my girlfriend pay her stuff off, too, like student loans. As for the rest, I'd like to think I'd have enough left to invest in something fairly wise. And then, I have no clue. I'll call you all when I hit a windfall like that.

as much as you all think I would just blow it all here is what I would do.


I would withdraw 60k and leave 5k online to play tournies, with my 60K I would pay off any bills I have, take my wife on vacation and use the rest for live play.

I'm being serious here - I totally don't get you. When you turn $100 into $1000, you have to lose the $1000. So, what's the difference here? When you build your roll up to $1000, you go sit in the 3/6 NL games until you lose it all, so if you built your roll up to $65,000, I have to assume you would be playing at least 25/50 NL until you blew it all, right?

If not, what' the difference? If it's that $1000 is meaningless to teamSWA and $65k isn't, where does teamSWA draw the line? $10k? $50k? At what point are you able to set aside the gambling problem and treat money as if it's actual money, and not "found money" that is not only ok to lose, but MEANT to be lost?
