The Bad: Down 4 buyins today.
The Ugly: Had a terrible day today. Ran incredibly bad and suffered ridiculous beats. AA vs JJ allin on preflop, asshole hits a flush. KK vs AQ allin on a 87J rainbow flop, asshole hits a straight. 86 vs TQs allin on a 975 rainbow flop, asshole rivers a flush. JJ vs 4d2d allin on a 48JdAd board, asshole rivers his flush. They just coming and coming. Sucked ass. And every good hand that didn’t get suckout on, I didn’t get paid off. It is like they knew what was coming, when to call the raises preflop and flop, knowing the miracle would come. And if no miracle was destined, they knew to fold early. The good-I never tilted, played my game and then walked away down 4 buyins generally happy with my play, pissed at variance. Of course I kicked the dog, and that helped. And I am playing with a 30-35 buyin bankroll (at the start of the day). So what did I learn? I think that 20 buyins is too short of a bankroll for me. Had I just lost 20% of my bankroll, I am not sure how I would have handled it. But now, I am able to look over the stats, replay lots of hands and realize that I played well, just shit luck. And this is better than the bitchy bad beat post I was going to write. |
