Personally, Im looking at the digital rebel as a snapshot camera...it would help a lot to have a digital for setup shots, getting film for the polaroid that i use to check lighting is getting pricey.

I got the 50" tv from Stars last year - older model. The US model they have now is a much nicer version than they give for CDNs.

I'm seriously thinking about saving enough points for a car...not sure which one. I may save up for a while and get the Porche and try to sell it - only because the conversion factor is much greater than anything I can get now. (This is because cars still costs a lot more in Canada than US - eg. each FPP would be worth about 2.5 cents each vs 1.61 cents for anything else -> makes a significant difference over three million fpps).

Of course I'm still a longs ways away. At my current pace...I probably could get the Porche in about a little under two years. Maybe I'm dumb and should cash the points now and get the currency in todays dollar.

With that kind of valume, I can't believe you choose:

Stars Points
over
FTP points + RB

Do you really think you come out ahead, looking at it solely like that? Or is it the other factors (game selection, game softness, etc) that allows you to make up for the tens of thousands of dollars you give up in RB each year?

I technically can't get RB on FTP. I know there are ways to work around it...but I really don't want to do that.

Also, I really don't feel like I'm giving up anything at all. With the equivalent volume on FTP, the difference in value would be around 2%...I really don't know how much FTP points are worth.

PokerStars FPPs, are as good as cash for me. Supernovas can use concierge service to get almost anything they want. And my rakeback equivalent rb starts at 28%. That doesn't include all the milestone bonuses, which can make it jump to low to mid 30% wise.

There are other added benefits such as weekly 50k freerolls, (not high on my list), superior customer service, and more games running that I like.

Everyone has their own preferences.

when you include milestone bonuses stars concierge program is pretty equivalent to rakeback. I just bought a couch through the concierge program and I will be having stars pay for a lot of the travel expenses for the WSOP.
