EACH LEVEL WILL LAST TWO HOURS, WITH A 15-MINUTE BREAK AFTER EVERY LEVEL. THE FIELD WILL BE SPLIT OVER FIRST THREE DAYS AND WILL COMBINE ON DAY FOUR. DAYS FOUR FIVE AND SIX WILL PLAY FIVE LEVELS EACH. DAY SEVEN WILL BE PLAYED DOWN TO 36 PLAYERS. DAY EIGHT WILL BE PLAYED DOWN TO THE FINAL NINE PLAYERS. PLAY RESUMES AT NOON EACH DAY

Click on the main event "title/link" in the schedule and the blind table pops up. Two hours is very long (even for live play), right?

One "step" closer! Just won my first try at Party Step 1 WSOP qualifier.

I've been bouncing around for a while now.
I expect to be bouncing levels until sometime in June.
A player can expect to get lost in these bloody things for months.

Good practice value for the $11 bucks though.
I have made level 3 twice now and yes I am about to start level 1 after getting bad beat back.

That's what I was imagining. I mean, I played solid/good poker in the first one, but I won my share of coinflips when it got down to 4/5 handed. I was the short stack at 5 handed and didn't make a bet other than all-in after that. Even heads-up it was all-in or nothing. The blinds were 250/500 @ the end.

I just don't see myself having the luck to get through 6 steps of crapshoots. But yeah, good practice and for $11, I'll take my chances.

Default Step 3 baby!

Step 2 - Top 2 advance, 3-7 loop back to step 1.

Short stack at table with 7 left.

Winner!

2 for 2 and on to step 3.

Vegas Baby, Vegas!

2 hour levels are a huge advantage for experienced players.... Lots and lots and lots of time to wait out the impatient players. Last year, if memory servers, the rounds were 1 hour and 40 minutes each, and I believe a number of pros were complaining because they used to be 2 hours each.
